Pastor’s Corner

The positive assurance from God is that if we will call on Him, He will answer us in ways that will astound us. This statement takes us to Jeremiah 33:1-3: “Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, ‘ Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'”

God promised Jeremiah that if he would call to Him, not only would He answer him, but He would reveal to him “great and mighty things” that could not otherwise be known. The word “mighty” is better known as “isolated” or “inaccessible”. Here the suggestion is that God would give Jeremiah “revelation insight,” revealing things that otherwise would be inaccessible or isolated.

Such “revelation insight” always has been essential for a clear understanding of victorious spiritual warfare. One cannot pray effectively without insight into how to pray, as well as into what things God truly longs for us to seek after in prayer. Jeremiah was called as a prophet to the nations as a young person. God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, continues to call people as His profits to the nation. So do not allow your age to hold you back from walking into God’s calling and destiny for your life.

You are loved, Pastor Don
