From the Pastor’s Desk

“Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great an mighty things, which you do not know.'” (Jeremiah 33:1-3)

Here we find God promising Jeremiah that if he would call to Him, not only would He answer him, but He would reveal to him “great and mighty things” that could not otherwise be known.

The word “mighty” used here is better rendered “isolated” or “inaccessible.” The suggestion is that God would give Jeremiah “revelational insight,” revealing things that otherwise would be inaccessible or isolated.

Such “revelational insight” always has been essential for a clear understanding of victorious spiritual warfare. One cannot pray effectively without insight into how to pray, as well as into what things God truly longs for us to seek after in prayer. God is saying to Jeremiah and all believers … “Call to Me.”

The Lord God has a universe of knowledge that is out of our reach, except through Him. He is calling on us to reach out and step into His world and He will answer us with mighty things to do battle with our arch enemy and lead us to being an overcomer!

You are loved, Pastor Don
