From the Pastor’s Desk

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

God is saying to us, that the spreading of the Good News and the expansion of life’s potential under God, will multiply God’s Word. Jesus described the Word as “seed” and the source of all saving life and growth possibilities that is transmitted from the Father to mankind. Luke 8:11: “Now the parable is this: ‘The seed is the word of God.'”

All increase of life within His love comes by His Word, as human response gives place for His blessing. When received, God’s word of promise will never be barren. The power in His Word will always fulfill the promise of His Word.

We never need to wonder how faith is developed or how fruitfulness is realized. Faith comes by “hearing” God’s Word, that is, by receiving it wholeheartedly and humbly. (Romans 10:17: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”)

Fruitfulness is the guaranteed by-produce — whether for the salvation of the lost soul or the provision of the disciple’s need — God’s Word cannot be barren or fruitless, because His own life-power is within it!

You are Loved, Pastor Don
