From the Pastor’s Desk

We are into a NEW YEAR and we get to choose to walk in His promises or not … I choose His promises. Whatever the challenges in life you are facing, you have to remember that you have been given a much more powerful promise from our heavenly Father that will not and cannot be broken. The promise is that God is here. It is simple but powerful, unshakable and relentless. No force, no lie, no obstacle can separate us from the simple promise that his love will always surround us. What a wonderful assurance to walk in, knowing that our Father promises to be near to his children at all times.

Romans 8:35 states: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?”

The answer that God shows us in the Bible is that nothing can separate us from the love of our Father. He is with the broken hearted, the downtrodden, the addicted, the divorced. He is with the champion of the outcast. He stands with the ones who feel they have no strength. Romans 8:37 goes on to say that no only can nothing separate us from God’s love but also “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Let me encourage each of us to make a resolution between yourself and our Lord, that 2020 will be the year when you agree with what the Lord has provided, His power, and we will walk 2020 in His Power. We can overcome that mountain, that giant, that darkness that seemed to overtake us in 2019. This is the year to walk in His promises and be the “overcomer” that God the Father says you are to be.

You are loved, Pastor Don
