From the Pastor’s Desk

Last Sunday, I spoke of God wanting to elevate all of us to a higher level. One way of doing this is through living an abundant life and I want to share some of God’s Word that will assist in drawing us closer to that abundant life.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1st Thessalonians 5:23

“Everything I am will praise and bless the Lord! O Lord, my God, your greatness takes my breath away, overwhelming me by your majesty, beauty, and splendor! You wrap yourself with a shimmering, glistering light. You wear sunshine like a garment of glory. You stretch out the starry skies like a tapestry.” Psalm 104:1-2

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10

God’s covenant to us is a covenant for abundant life. From the very beginning of time, Scripture shows us that God wanted us to be happy and prosperous. In Genesis, we are told that God made everything and declared it to be good. Then He gave this beautiful plentiful Earth to Adam and he was given dominion over all of it.

In John 10:10 we see where Jesus declared His intention to recover and restore to man what was the Father’s intent and to break and block the Devil’s intent to hinder our receiving it. Rejoice in God’s promise.

You are loved, Pastor Don
